VB Steady at No. 15
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami volleyball team (17-4, 7-3 ACC) remained at No. 15 in the American Volleyball Coaches Association rankings.
The Hurricanes started the weekend with a five-set battle with Virginia Tech as Flormarie Heredia Colon almost the broke the school record once again, with 37 kills and a double-double with 11 digs.
Miami then took down Virginia in four sets, with middle blockers Simone Baskin and Logan Wiley propelling the Hurricanes with nearly perfect hitting averages.
Heredia Colon continues to lead the NCAA and ACC for points per set (6.43) and kills per set (5.56), while also leading the conference in kills (2nd in NCAA) and points (2nd in NCAA).
The Hurricanes will host Boston College and Syracuse on Oct. 31 and Nov. 2, respectively, at the Knight Sports Complex.
