VB Ranks 15th in AVCA Poll

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami volleyball team (15-4, 5-3 ACC) fell one spot to No. 15 in the American Volleyball Coaches Association rankings.

The Hurricanes dropped both matches in their west coast trip against Cal and No. 5 Stanford. Against the Golden Bears, Miami was up two dominant sets but fell in the next three for their first loss on the weekend. They then took on another top five matchup with the Cardinal, falling in four very tight sets.

Heredia Colon continues to lead the NCAA and ACC for points per set (6.29) and kills per set (5.39), while also leading the conference in total kills (6th in NCAA) and points (second in NCAA).

The Hurricanes will host Virginia Tech and Virginia on Oct. 24 and 26, respectively.
