Canes Fan of the Year Presented by AutoNation Returns for 2025

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The Canes Fan of the Year Presented by AutoNation contest returns in 2025 for its second season.

The promotion, which launched Friday, runs through October 10. Entries can be submitted by clicking here.

Nominees will be evaluated by a University of Miami committee based on level of school/team spirit; consistency and creativity of fandom; inspirational nature of the nominee’s story; and positive influence on the UM fan experience and community.

The winner will be announced at Miami’s football homecoming game against Syracuse on Saturday, November 8, at Hard Rock Stadium. The winner will also receive an exclusive fan experience at the game, including pre-game field access experience, on-field recognition, a personalized commemorative custom jersey; official Miami swag bag; four club level tickets and a $1,000 cash prize.

The inaugural winner of the Canes Fan of the Year Presented by AutoNation was JD Disilus, a.k.a. JD “Da Boss,” who captured the crown last year among more than 1,100 entrants.
