M. Tennis Earns ITA Academic Honors

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami men’s tennis team and a trio of Hurricanes claimed ITA Academic recognition Monday morning, as announced by the association.

The Hurricanes received ITA Academic Team distinction. The honor goes to all teams with a combined cumulative GPA of at least 3.2 for the academic year.

Senior Martin Katz, junior Antonio Prat and freshman Jules Garot all earned ITA academic distinction for their achievements in the classroom.

In his last season at Miami, Katz posted a near-perfect 3.94 GPA to graduate with his major in Management.

Prat, a Finance major, tallied a 3.50 GPA in his junior year at Miami, while freshman Garot recorded a 3.72 GPA for his first semester at The U.

All three Hurricanes also earned a spot on the All-ACC Academic Team for the 2024-25 season.

Minimum academic requirements for selection as an ITA Scholar-Athlete is a 3.5 GPA during the academic year.
