2025 ACC Unity Tour

Six members of the University of Miami athletic department are headed to Alabama on Thursday to take part in the 2025 Unity Tour, an event put on annually by the Atlantic Coast Conference.

The Unity Tour, which will commence on Juneteenth and run through June 22, will include stopes in Montgomery, Selma and Tuskegee, Alabama.

Miami’s participants in the 2025 event are Nick Robert (baseball), Mohamed Farouk (diving), Calea Jackson (track), Brian Baptiste (Senior Deputy AD), Jessica Hurley (Student-Athlete Development) and LaToya Farris (Student-Athlete Development).

This transformative and educational tour was created to empower student-athletes through meaningful, real-world learning opportunities. During the weekend, members across the ACC’s 18 institutions will have the opportunity to explore history and learn about culture and community engagement from local leaders.

Stops on this year’s tour include:

  • Visit to Tuskegee University
  • Tour of the Tuskegee Airmen Museum
  • 60th Anniversary of the March from Selma to Montgomery
  • Community Engagement Project – Collecting School Supplies at First Baptist Church in Selma
  • Memorial Walk across Edmund Pettus Bridge

The 2025 Unity Tour is centered around the theme: Legacy of Unity: Elevation, Equity and Empowerment.

The tour will kick off with the Orange Bowl Welcome Event where Doris Crenshaw and Sheyann Webb-Christburg – both prominent figures in the Civil Rights Movement – will address the group.
