Miami Battles on Day One of ACC Championships

CLEMSON, S.C. – The University of Miami rowing team began competition at the 2025 ACC Championships Friday morning, with five boats taking part in the preliminary races of the event.

Miami’s Third Varsity Eight opened the event for the Hurricanes, taking sixth-place in their respective heat with a time of 7:07.099.

The First Varsity Eight followed, earning a fifth-place finish after clocking a time of 6:31.891.

Miami’s Second Varsity Eight finished in sixth-place in their heat after crossing the finish line with a time of 6:48.786.

The Canes’ First Varsity Four had a strong showing, taking fourth-place in their heat after earning a time of 7:30.021.

Miami’s Second Varsity Four wrapped up the first day of competition with a fourth-place finish in their heat with a time of 7:40.240.

All five boats are set to compete in the petite finals of the event Saturday morning, with competition slated to begin at 8:05 a.m.
