CORAL GABLES, Fla. – University of Miami men’s basketball coach Jai Lucas announced Thursday the signing of transfer Jordyn Kee.

Kee, a 6-foot-3, 185-pound guard, spent his freshman season at the University of Georgia where he redshirted to preserve a season of eligibility.

“We are excited for Jordyn to join our program not only because of his competitiveness, but also because he is the ultimate team player and a high-character individual,” Lucas said. “We are looking forward to bringing Jordyn back to his South Florida roots as a Broward County native.”

Kee appeared in both of Georgia’s exhibition games, totaling seven minutes of action across the two games.

Kee was rated a four-star prospect coming out of high school by ESPN.com and the No. 15 combo guard in the class of 2024 by On3. He attended Sagemont Preparatory School as a senior, averaging 11.2 points, 4.1 assists, 3.1 rebounds and 1.4 steals per game.

After helping lead the Lions to the Florida Class 2A state championship, Kee was named second-team All-Broward by the Sun Sentinel. As a senior, Kee totaled 16 double-digit scoring games, including a season-high 26 points against Miami Norland.

Kee played at Legacy Early College School in Greenville, S.C., during his junior year and was one of seven players on Legacy’s 2022-23 roster to sign with a Division I program.
