Hurricanes to Compete at Three Events

CORAL GABLES, Fla. — The University of Miami track and field team is set to compete at a trio of meets this week beginning Wednesday and culminating on Saturday.

Edgar Campre kicks off the week as he competes in the decathlon for the first time this season at the prestigious Mt. SAC Relays. Campre opens competition Wednesday with the 100 meters  at 2 p.m. ET. Live results for the Mt. SAC Relays can be found here.

A total of five distance runners are set to compete at the Wake Forest Invitational in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, on Thursday and Friday. Action begins at 8:20 p.m. Thursday as Emma Hencock competes in the 5k. On Friday, Maddie Scheier begins the day in the 3000m steeplechase at 11:50 a.m. Live results for the Wake Forest Invitational can be found here.

The Hurricanes are set to return to Gainesville, Florida, for the Tom Jones Invitational on Friday and Saturday. Desmond Coleman and Heath Vernor compete in the hammer throw Friday at noon while action gets underway Saturday at 9 a.m. with the men’s and women’s discus.
