
Hurricanes Drop Regular Season Finale to Seminoles
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The No. 35 University of Miami men’s tennis team (13-9, 6-7 ACC) fell, 4-1, to the No. 19 Florida State Seminoles (17-7, 9-4 ACC) on Friday night.
The Hurricanes dropped the doubles point and fell short in singles to wrap up the regular season.
On court two, Nacho Serra Sanchez and Leonardo Dal Boni fell 6-3 to Dous-Karpenschif and Erik Schiessl, followed by a 6-4 loss at the top court from No. 61 Martin Katz and Antonio Prat over No. 15 Alex Bulte and Youcef Rihane.
Sanchez tied the score with a 6-1, 6-1 win on court three over Bulte, 6-4, 6-3, but the Seminoles took back-to-back courts for the 3-1 lead. Jules Garot dropped court six, 6-3, 6-2, to Rihane, while Dal Boni fell on court five, 6-3, 6-4, to Dous-Karpenschif
The remaining three courts battled for the win, but the Hurricanes ultimately fell once Sadaoui lost court four, 7-5, 6-4, to Schiessl.
Miami will travel to Cary, N.C., for the ACC Championships, starting on April 15.
