
Hurricanes Fall to No. 9 Stanford
STANFORD, Calif. – The No. 29 University of Miami men’s tennis team (8-3, 2-1) fell, 4-0, to the No. 9 Stanford Cardinal (9-4, 1-2) on Friday night.
The Hurricanes dropped the doubles point, before falling in singles for their first ACC loss of the season.
At the top court, Martin Katz and Antonio Prat fell 6-2 to No. 37 Samir Banerjee and Alex Razeghi, followed by Mehdi Sadaoui and Jules Garot dropping court three to Kyle Kang and Nathan Barki, 6-3.
Razeghi took court six over Garot, 6-1, 6-0, followed by a 6-2, 6-1 defeat from Schulenburg against Dal Boni at the No. 4 spot. Banerjee, ranked No. 16, defeated No. 42 Katz, 6-4, 6-4, at the top court to lock in the win for the Cardinal.
Miami will face No. 26 Cal on March 9 to close out the weekend.
