Dawson Named to Preseason ACC Rowing Watch List

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – University of Miami rower Aaliah Dawson garnered a spot on the Preseason ACC Rowing Watch List, the conference announced Wednesday afternoon. 

With the Hurricanes set to begin their season on Friday, March 28, Dawson, a 2024 All-ACC First Team honoree, is expected to lead the way for Miami this season. The senior from Melbourne, Australia, was named a team-captain, and she will aim to build upon a stellar junior season.

Miami will open the 2025 campaign in Sarasota, Florida, as they will defend their title at the Sarasota 2K, formerly known as the Sunshine State Invitational.

The Canes will compete in five regular-season events throughout the spring, as they prepare for the 2025 ACC Championships. The conference championships will take place from May 16-17 in Clemson, S.C.
