Vallée, Pellacani Earn Medals on Day 1 at ACCs

GREENSBORO, N.C. — The Miami Hurricanes swimming & diving team opened its run at the 2025 Atlantic Coast Conference Championships in impressive fashion Tuesday evening at the Greensboro Aquatic Center.

Divers Mia Vallée and Chiara Pellacani each earned a trip to the podium on the 1-meter springboard on their first day of competition, while Max Flory qualified for the final on the 3-meter at the Greensboro Aquatic Center.

Vallée was in control for most of the night’s final round, finishing in second place with 349.30 points – just behind gold medalist Aranza Vazquez Montano of North Carolina (357.40) – to earn a silver medal.

Pellacani earned a bronze medal, finishing in third place with 329.55 points.

Flory was one of the top-eight finishers on the 3-meter in the morning’s preliminary round and took sixth in the evening’s final with a score of 385.10.

Miami’s 200-yard medley relay – comprised of Leah Treglia, Simone Moll, Ashlyn Massey and Giulia Carvalho – finished in 10th place with a final time of 1:37.28.

The Hurricanes’ 800-yard freestyle relay, which includes Adrianna Cera, Jane Fitzgerald, Savannah Barr and Marissa Inouye – finished the event in a time of 7:07.45, good for ninth place.

Day Two of the ACC Championships is set for Wednesday from Greensboro.
