Grissom Tabbed ACC Women’s Track Co-Performer of the Week

CORAL GABLES, Fla. — Junior runner Gabriella Grissom was named the ACC Women’s Track Co-Performer of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday afternoon.

With a 600m time of 1:26.89, Grissom’s first appearance this indoor season shattered the Miami school record of 1:27.64 that was set by Kayla Johnson in 2021.

In addition to capturing the school record, the Miami sprinter’s time now stands as an ACC record, is tied as the sixth-fastest time in collegiate history and is currently the number one time in the NCAA this season.

Grissom’s historic 600m performance at the Gamecock Opener earns the Fayetteville, Georgia native her first ACC weekly honors of her collegiate career.

Grissom and the rest of the Hurricanes will travel to Lubbock, Tx. January 17 and 18 for the Corky Classic — hosted by Texas Tech University.
