Byrne, Darquea Earn 2025 Ladies European Tour Cards

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – University of Miami golf alums Sara Byrne (2020-24) and Daniela Darquea (2013-16) qualified to compete on the 2025 Ladies European Tour after finishing in the top-20 at Lalla Aicha Q-School, which was held at the Al Maaden Golf Marrakech in Marrakech, Morocco.

Darquea secured first-place honors and a LET tour card after shooting a 68 in the final round to finish Q-School at 24-under-par (339). Darquea is the first Ecuadorian golfer to earn a spot on the Ladies European Tour.

Byrne posted a five-round score of 351 (-12) to place 15th at Q-School and earn her 2025 LET membership. The Douglas, Cork, Ireland native closed out her Q-School performance with a 69 in the final round of action.

Darquea was a two-time WGCA All-American Honorable Mention honoree in 2014 and 2016, while Byrne earned Second Team All-America honors in 2024. Both also were named  ACC Golfer of the Month during their time at Miami.

Byrne and Darquea will join fellow Miami alum Nataliya Guseva (2020-22) on the LET circuit in the spring.
