Miami Rowing Inks Nine
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami Rowing program and Head Coach James Mulcahy have officially announced the signing of nine athletes in the class of 2025. The Hurricanes’ class includes Kate Ryall, Esther Fuerte Chacon, Gabriela Snopková, Charlotte Scholz, Beatrice Ravini Perelli, Scarlett Pringle, Catherine Casey, Amia Hyman, and Isabella Raemisch. The class is composed of athletes from seven different countries.

Kate Ryall
Hometown: Christchurch, New Zealand
School: Christchurch Girls’ High School
About: Ryall hails from Christchurch, New Zealand and will be joining the Canes this spring. She placed first in the 8+, 4+, and 2- at the Mainland Inter-provincial Championships and she also won the 2024 Levin Jubilee Cup girls U18 8+ at the Maadi Regatta, which marked the first victory at this event in Christchurch Girls’ High School program history.
Esther Fuerte Chacon
Hometown: La Línea de la Concepción, Spain
School: Íes Antonio Machado
Club: Club de Remo Linense
About: Fuerte Chacon will join Miami next Fall from La Línea de la Concepción, Spain. Fuerte Chacon won the 2024 Spanish National Championship in U19 ex, and she also secured a Bronze Medal at the 2024 U19 Rowing World Championships in 2x, marking the first medal in that event in Spanish National Team history.
Gabriela Snopková
Hometown: Břeclav, Czech Republic
School: Sportovní Gymnázium Pardubice
Club: ČVK Pardubice
About: Snopková will make her way to Miami next fall from Břeclav, Czech Republic. She is a two-time winner in the 4x at the Coupe de la Jeunesse, and she won a bronze medal at the 2024 U19 European Championships in the 4x. Snopková was also a member of the Czech Republic 4x team at the 2024 U19 World Rowing Championships.
Charlotte Scholz
Hometown: Duisburg, Germany
School: Steinbart-Gymnasium
Club: Rudervein Dorsten E.V.
About: Scholz will join the Canes in the Fall of 2025 from Duisburg, Germany. She won the 2024 German Junior Championships competing in the 4x, and she also earned a bronze medal in the same event at the 2024 U19 World Rowing Championships competing for the German National Team.
Beatrice Ravini Perelli
Hometown: Cannobio, Italy
School: Liceo Classico Scientifico Bonaventura Cavalieri
Club: Reale Società Canottieri Cerea
About: Perelli is set to make her to way Miami next Fall from Cannobio, Italy. She won the 2024 Italian National Championship in the U19 1x and is a two-time Gold Medalist in the 4x at the European U19 Championships (23’ & 24’). Ravini Perelli also earned a Gold Medal in the 4x at the 2024 U19 Rowing World Championships, as well as a Silver Medal in the same event at the 2023 U19 World Championships.
Scarlett Pringle
Hometown: Prahran Melbourne, Australia
School: St. Catherine’s School Toorak
About: Pringle will join Miami next Fall from Prahran Melbourne, Australia. She has been the coxswain of the St. Catherine’s School Toorak Women’s 8+ the past two years. Pringle secured a Bronze Medal at the 2023 Head of the schoolgirl’s regatta, and the Australian National Championships. She was selected as the coxswain for the Australian 4+ at the 2024 U19 World Rowing Championships.
Catherine Casey
Hometown: North Reading, Mass.
School: Brooks School
About: Hailing from North Reading, Massachusetts, Casey will join the Canes next Fall. She placed fourth at the 2024 NEIRAs in the Girls First 4+, and 10th at the 2024 US Rowing Youth National Championship in the Women’s Youth 4+.
Amia Hyman
Hometown: Boston, Mass.
School: Wayland-Weston
About: Originally from Boston, Massachusetts, Hyman is set to join Miami in the Fall of 2025. She has coxed for four years in both 8+ and 4+ for Wayland-Weston High School. Outside of rowing, Hyman is a leader in a club named Affinity. a mentor in a club called Buddy-Buddy Mentors. And she was selected for Student-Government Day.
Isabella Raemisch
Hometown: Salt Lake City, Utah
Club: Waterford Crew
About: Raemisch will make her way to Miami from Salt Lake City in the Fall of 2025. She won the 2024 Head of the Charles in the Women’s Youth 2x and also placed sixth at the 2024 US Rowing Youth National Championships in the Women’s Youth 2x.
