Hurricanes Ranked No. 12 in AP, Coaches Polls
CORAL GABLES, Fla. — The Miami Hurricanes checked in at No. 12 in both major college football rankings released Sunday.
Miami — which has been slotted as high as fourth in the Associated Press Top 25 and US LBM Coaches Poll — suffered its first loss of the season against Georgia Tech on Saturday.
The Hurricanes were seeded third and listed fourth in the first College Football Playoff Rankings unveiled last week.
Miami (9-1) is off to its best start in seven years and remains the top-ranked program in the Atlantic Coast Conference, joined in the polls by No. 14/13 SMU, No. 17/16 Clemson and No. 22/24 Louisville.
Following an open week, the Hurricanes return to action against Wake Forest on Nov. 23 at Hard Rock Stadium.
