Orange & Green World Series Returns to Mark Light Field
CORAL GABLES, Fla. — The Miami Hurricanes will host their annual Orange and Green World Series this week.
The Fall Classic at The U pits two teams against each other over four days of highly competitive baseball.
The World Series begins with nine innings on Tuesday, before picking up play with eight frames on Thursday.
Miami concludes the event with seven innings on Friday and nine frames on Saturday.
The series will follow a running score format, which teams are awarded a point for outscoring their opponent in an inning.
Over the 33-frame affair, the team with the most innings won will be declared the champion. If both sides are tied after four days, the squad with the most runs will take home the crown.
Orange captains Daniel Cuvet and Nick Robert and green captains Dorian Gonzalez Jr. and Brian Walters built their respective rosters through a draft that was held on Monday. Each player was paired with a counterpart at the same position to ensure each team could field a full lineup.
The Orange and Green World Series will be held at Alex Rodriguez Park at Mark Light Field. Admission is free.
