Mehdi Sadaoui Joins Hurricanes For 2024-25 Season

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – University of Miami men’s tennis head coach Alex Santos announced the addition of Mehdi Sadaoui on Friday.

From Paris, France, Sadaoui is coming to Miami with a career-high ITF junior ranking of 29 and a career-high ATP singles ranking of 1032. He will join the team after notching 24 wins since the beginning of 2023, as well as reaching the round of 16 in the M15 Monastir, M15 Limassol and M25 Villeneuve-Loubet.

“I’m very happy to become a Hurricane and so excited to play and give my best for the University of Miami”, said Sadaoui.

Sadaoui brings a great amount of success as the U13 and U14 French Champion, U16 European Singles Champion and U16 European Team Champion. Additionally, he was part of the U12, U14 and U16 French Team.

“From the very first conversation with Mehdi, it was clear to me that his passion, resilience, talent and desire to accomplish something special were remarkable”, said Santos. “When you add that to an important work ethic and having the University of Miami as his top priority, special things happen.”

Sadaoui will become a Hurricane alongside returning players Martin Katz, Antonio Prat and Nacho Serra Sanchez.
