RALEIGH, N.C. – Miami rowing opened the first of two competition days at the Lake Wheeler Invite by turning in seven top-three finishes across 10 total events Friday, April 26. Miami squared off against a large field that included three-ranked opponents.
UM sent the third varsity eight, second varsity four, first varsity four, second varsity eight and first varsity eight to the water. Each boat competed in a morning and afternoon session.
The Canes defeated teams such as Boston College, Tulsa, Kansas, Boston and Clemson throughout the day.
Miami concludes regular season competition with day two of two at Lake Wheeler tomorrow. The first race gets going at 9:10 a.m. tomorrow with the third varsity eight.
