Savannah Webster Joins Canes For 2024-25 Season
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – University of Miami women’s tennis head coach Paige Yaroshuk-Tews announced Friday the addition of Savannah Webster for the 2024-25 season.
From El Segundo, Calif., Webster earned career-high ITF junior singles and doubles ranking of 591. She comes to Miami with the 2022 J4 Barbados doubles title.
Webster will join the Canes after three years of training at the Gomez Tennis Academy in Naples, Fla.,
“It’s one of the best universities in the country and set on a breathtakingly beautiful campus,” said Webster. “The resources for student-athletes is top-notch and the women’s tennis program is year-in-year-out one of the best in the country. Playing for such legendary coaches like Coach Paige and Coach Alex sealed the deal for me and knowing that they will support me and push me to improve on and off the court. I knew the moment I was on my visit that the U was home.”
The Hurricanes are coming off their 20th consecutive top-25 finish after ending the year ranked No. 16 in the ITA National Rankings.
Miami will be back in action in January for the spring season. The full schedule will be released at a later time.
