CORAL GABLES, Fla. – University of Miami golfer Sara Byrne played the best 18 holes in program history Monday afternoon, breaking the 18-hole program record with a 63 in the second round of the Hurricane Invitational.
Byrne, a fourth-year junior, totaled eight birdies in the second round and capped her record-breaking 18 holes with an eagle on hole 18.
Overall, the Douglas, Cork, Ireland native paced the field of 69 with a 36-hole score of 129, which ties Dewi Weber for the top 36-hole performance in program history.
