Noel Set For W80 Macon

MACON, Ga. – Junior Alexa Noel will start her time in the singles main draw at the ITF Macon 80K, beginning Tuesday.

Because of Noel’s dominant performance at the Mercer Tennis Classic back in August, she earned her spot in the prestigious tournament for her first shot at a W80 title. She will face Jana Kolodynska tomorrow in the first round of the draw.

Noel is coming off a stellar week at the ITA All-American Championships where she claimed four ranked wins, including three of them being against top-25 opponents. The third-ranked player in the nation reached the finals of the tournament for the second time.

From Summit, N.J., Noel is a two-time All-American and first team All-Conference in singles, as well as being the 2021 Big Ten Player of the Year and Freshman of the Year during her time at Iowa.
