CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Fourteen University of Miami women’s basketball alums are currently competing in eight different countries as professional basketball players.
Nine Hurricanes are spread across three countries – France (Maeva Djaldi-Tabdi ’22, Naomi Mbandu ’22 and Laura Quevedo ’15), Spain (Laura Cornelius ’19, Serena-Lynn Geldof ’18 and Kelsey Marshall ’22) and Turkey (Keyona Hayes ’17, Jessica Thomas ’17 and Riquna Williams ’12).
The other five Miami graduates are playing in five different countries – Czech Republic (Emese Hof ’19), England (Hannah Shaw ’10), Hungary (Beatrice Mompremier ’20), Portugal (Mykea Gray ’22) and Romania (Adrienne Motley ’17). Unfortunately, Hof tore her ACL in a preseason game and will miss the 2022-23 season.
