Hurricanes Ranked No. 11 in Both Major Polls
CORAL GABLES, Fla. — The Miami Hurricanes were ranked No. 11 in both major college football polls released Sunday afternoon.
Following a 31-19 win over Pittsburgh at Hard Rock Stadium on Saturday, the Hurricanes rose one spot in the Amway Coaches Poll (from No. 12) and two spots in the Associated Press top 25 (from No. 13) from the Oct. 11 rankings.
The Hurricanes are in the top 15 of both major polls for the fifth straight week; Miami’s highest ranking of the year was No. 7, which was attained in both Oct. 4 polls.
The Hurricanes (4-1, 3-1 ACC) host Virginia (1-3, 1-3 ACC) for a matchup at Hard Rock Stadium on Sat., Oct. 24. Kickoff is slated for 8 p.m. on the ACC Network.
