Hurricanes Climb As High As No. 12 in Polls
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Following a 47-34 road win at Louisville in its Atlantic Coast Conference opener, the Miami Hurricanes ascended in both major college football polls released Sunday.
The Hurricanes, who totaled 485 yards of offense against a Cardinals team that entered the matchup ranked in the top 20 of both polls, climbed to No. 12 in the Associated Press top 25 and No. 14 in the Amway Coaches Poll.
The Hurricanes’ rankings in the two polls are their highest since being ranked No. 8 in both preseason polls entering the 2018 season. Miami was ranked No. 17 by the AP and No. 18 in the coaches poll last week.
The Hurricanes (2-0, 1-0 ACC) host their annual rivalry matchup with Florida State on Sat., Sept. 26. Kickoff from Hard Rock Stadium is set for 7:30 p.m. on ABC.
