CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami women’s tennis team is once again in the top 20, coming in at No. 20 in the Oracle/ITA rankings released Tuesday afternoon.

Miami (6-4, 3-2 ACC) won its only match last week, a 6-1 road victory Friday at Louisville that featured six straight-set singles triumphs.

The Hurricanes are one of 10 ACC teams in the top 25, joining top-ranked North Carolina, fourth-ranked Florida State, fifth-ranked NC State, eighth-ranked Georgia Tech, No. 10 Virginia, No. 11 Duke, No. 14 Wake Forest, No. 23 Syracuse and No. 24 Notre Dame.

Three of the league’s other four teams are also in the rankings, with Virginia Tech at No. 41, Boston College at No. 46 and Clemson at No. 47.

Miami also, once again, has three individuals featured in the singles rankings. Senior Estela Perez-Somarriba headlines the group as the second-ranked player in the country, behind only Pepperdine’s Ashley Lahey.

Following the reigning NCAA singles champion are freshman Selma Cadar and sophomore Daevenia Achong at No. 102 and No. 110, respectively.

Achong and Cadar also remain ranked as a duo on the Oracle/ITA doubles list, holding the No. 74 spot nationally.

The Hurricanes resume play, following 13 days without a match, March 13 at 10 a.m. when they host No. 43 Yale at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center.
