DALLAS — Select members of the Miami Hurricanes swimming & diving team will continue their fall schedules with a trip to the annual SMU Classic at the Robson & Lindley Aquatics Center and Barr-McMillion Natatorium.
The SMU Classic begins Fri., Oct. 11 at 7:30 p.m. ET and will continue Sat., Oct. 12 when action resumes at noon ET.
The SMU Classic, featuring eight swimming & diving student-athletes from each participating school, has different rules than a standard dual meet. Swimmers may swim three events per day, one of which must be a relay. Each team will enter one swimmer per heat (consolation & championship), while relays will only have a Championship heat. Diving events will consist of six optional dives on 1 meter and 3 meter boards.
Joining the Hurricanes and the host Mustangs for the weekend competition are Auburn, Iowa, Louisville and Northwestern.
