W. Tennis Concludes Competition at William & Mary

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Freshman Nada Dimovska and senior Lucia Marzal of the University of Miami women’s tennis team wrapped up play Sunday at the ITA Hall of Fame Classic.
The Hurricane duo won its doubles match at the McCormack-Nagelsen Tennis Center, but both players fell in singles competition.
Action started with Dimovska and Marzal claiming their second doubles triumph in as many days, as the duo recorded an 8-3 tally against Giovanna Caputo and Anne-Sophie Courteau of West Virginia.
Both Miami players then took on opponents from Old Dominion in singles action to conclude the weekend at William & Mary.
Dimovska came up short against Brooke Pilkington, 2-6, 4-6, and Marzal dropped a 3-6, 1-6 decision to Yulia Starodubtseva.
In total, across singles and doubles matches, Miami went 4-5 on the weekend at the ITA Hall of Fame Classic.
The Hurricanes resume play Oct. 5-13 at the ITA Women’s All-Americans Champions, held in Tulsa, Okla., for the first time this year.
