UM's Marks Named to SFBJ 40 Under 40
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Jesse Marks, Miami’s Senior Associate Athletic Director for Development, has been named to South Florida Business Journal‘s 40 Under 40 Class of 2019.
SFBJ’s 40 Under 40 recognizes young professionals in Broward, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach counties for outstanding success and contributions to their community. They were selected from hundreds of nominations and represent some the region’s most entrepreneurial and influential young leaders. Honorees will be celebrated today at a luncheon at Jungle Island in Miami.
Marks is responsible for all development operations for UM Athletics, including campaign oversight, major giving, annual fund, donor stewardship, event hospitality and coordination with central advancement efforts. Marks is also the sport administrator for Miami’s men’s tennis program.
Marks is an active member of the National Association of Athletic Development Directors (NAADD) and is an adjunct professor in the School of Education Sports Administration Program, teaching Sport Promotions and Sales. A two-time Miami graduate, Marks earned his bachelor’s degree in 2005 and his master’s degree in 2008.
