CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami women’s basketball team is set to hit the road for the first time in 2019.

Miami (13-3, 1-0 ACC) begins conference road action with a matchup against Wake Forest Sunday at 1 p.m. at Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Winston-Salem, N.C.

The game will be broadcast on ACC Network Extra HERE, as well as carried live on WVUM 90.5 FM HERE. Live stats for the contest will be available HERE.

Miami owns an 11-9 all-time mark against the Demon Deacons after splitting last year’s two meetings. In the most recent game, the Hurricanes logged a 68-60 triumph on March 1, 2018 in Greensboro, N.C., in the ACC Tournament.

The Hurricanes are coming off a 68-61 win over Virginia Tech Thursday at the Watsco Center in their ACC opener. Miami, led by a game-high 23 points from senior forward/center Emese Hof, rallied from a nine-point third-quarter deficit to give the Hokies their first loss of the season.

Redshirt junior forward Beatrice Mompremier notched her 11th double-double of the season, totaling 18 points and a game-best 13 rebounds, while sophomore guard Mykea Gray added 13 points. The Hurricanes finished with a 38-22 edge in points in the paint and a 45-33 advantage on the glass.

Wake Forest is the only ACC team yet to begin conference play and heads into the weekend at 9-4 on the season. A Blue Ribbon Panel Second Team All-ACC honoree last year, senior forward Elisa Penna leads the Demon Deacons in scoring at 15.5 points per game.

Following a 14-17 (5-11 ACC) campaign in 2017-18, the Demon Deacons were picked No. 12 in the ACC preseason polling.

After taking on the Demon Deacons, the Hurricanes head home to host Clemson Jan. 10 at the Watsco Center, with game time set for 11 a.m. on elementary school day.
