CORAL GABLES, Fla. –  The University of Miami volleyball program travels to Durham, N.C., on Friday for its final match of the 2018 season to face Duke.

The Hurricanes (13-11, 9-8 ACC) look to end the season on a high note and improve to 2-0 against the Blue Devils (15-11, 9-8 ACC) having defeated them 3-1 in the Canes second ACC match of the season. 
 
Miami travels to Cameron Indoor Stadium after taking No. 10 Pitt to five sets last Sunday and was just the second team to force five on the Panthers. After recording a team-high 16 kills on Senior Day, outside hitter Kolby Bird added to her total and leads Miami with 286. Bird’s 286 kills is a single season high for the San Diego, Calif., native who has logged 812 in her four-year career at Miami. 
 
Fellow redshirt senior setter Haley Templeton registered 55 assists, two shy from a season high (57) and six shy from a career high (61), in her final home match as a Hurricane. Templeton’s 4,537 assists is the third most in Miami history. 
 
Along with assists, Templeton leads the Canes and the conference in service aces with 0.40 aces per set. Templeton’s 36 aces also ranks third in program history in career aces. 
 
The two seniors look to lead the young Canes to its 14th win of the season. All five freshmen have seen playing time this season with both Emily Damon and Chloe Brown appearing in all 23 matches this season. Damon leads the squad with 285 digs and Brown sits third in kills with 243. 
 
The Blue Devils enter Friday’s match after defeating Notre Dame 3-2 on Wednesday night. The Blue Devils are currently sixth in the ACC and hold an 8-6 home record.
