GREENSBORO, N.C. – The University of Miami golf team finished in sixth place Monday at the 2018 ACC Championships at the par-72, 6,122-yard Grandover Resort East Course in Greensboro, N.C. The Hurricanes grinded through tough playing conditions Monday to shoot their best round of the tournament, a 6-over-par 294, and finish the 54-hole tournament with a team score of 893 (+29).
“It was a miserable day today in North Carolina, but my girls hung in there,” Miami head coach Patti Rizzo said. “They did great considering the circumstances. The ACC is an extremely strong conference again this year, so a sixth-place finish wasn’t too bad.”

Renate Grimstad had the Hurricanes’ low round of the day Monday with a 1-under 71 as she moved up to tie for 18th place with a 5-over 221.
Kristyna Frydlova fired an even-par 72 in the final round and concluded the tournament with a 4-over 220, tying for 16th place.
