CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami women’s tennis team held its position in the Oracle/ITA rankings this week, checking in at No. 17, as announced Wednesday morning.
This is the third consecutive rankings release in which the Hurricanes, who have been top-20 all spring, place No. 17 in the country.
Miami (2-1) is now the highest-ranked team in the Sunshine State, as Florida fell from third nationally to No. 18.
The Hurricanes are one of five ACC teams in the top 20, along with top-ranked North Carolina, fourth-ranked Duke, seventh-ranked Georgia Tech and No. 11 Wake Forest. In addition, Florida State is receiving votes in the poll.
Miami will be back on the court Saturday at 11:30 a.m., for its second top-20 matchup of the young season when it faces No. 12 Oklahoma State in Stillwater, Okla.
