The Miami Hurricanes posted a 15-5 mark in Atlantic Coast Conference play and a 22-6 overall record en route to earning a spot in the NCAA Championship for the ninth time in program history.
Check out the notes below to see what made the 2017 season one to remember.
- Senior outside hitter hitter Olga Strantzali was named both ACC Player of the Year and AVCA East Coast Region Player of the Year
- Strantzali led the ACC with 4.54 kills per set and was the only player in the conference to contribute as many as 5.0 points per set in the conference, finishing the season with an average of 5.17
- Strantzali and redshirt junior setter Haley Templeton were recognized on the First Team All-ACC and on the AVCA East Coast All-Region Team
- The Hurricanes earned their first postseason victory since 2014, defeating the College of Charleston 3-1 in the opening round of the NCAA Division I Women’s Volleyball Championship before falling to the second seed in the competition, Florida, by the same scoreline in the second round
- Miami finished the 2017 campaign with a 7-1 record in five-set matches, which is most for both five-set wins and five-set matches played since the program returned in 2001.
- Miami finished in the top three of the ACC in three categories: first in service aces (1.71 per set), second in hitting percentage (.246) and tied for third in kills (13.64).

- Between Oct. 27 and Nov. 3, the Canes went on a stretch of winning 10 straight sets, which included sweeps over NC State, North Carolina and in-state rival Florida State.
