CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami men’s tennis program will continue its 11-match home stretch Saturday at 3 p.m., when it hosts Florida Gulf Coast University at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center.

Saturday’s matchup will mark the third meeting between the Hurricanes and the Eagles, with the all-time series tied at one match apiece. FGCU won the most recent matchup over the Canes, 4-1, Feb 7, 2015, while UM defeated the Eagles, 6-1, on March 3, 2013.

Miami (3-3, 0-1 ACC) heads into the match with senior Max Andrews and junior Piotr Lomacki representing the Canes in the ITA Rankings. Ranked No. 70 in the ITA singles poll, Lomacki enters the match with a 4-1 overall record in dual matches this spring. The native of Poland most recently defeated Clemson’s Alex Favrot, 6-1, 7-6 (7-1). Andrews joins the junior in the ITA doubles rankings, as the duo ranks No. 38 in the nation.

This past Sunday, Miami dropped its ACC opener against Clemson, 3-4, despite taking the early two-point advantage with a pair of doubles victories, in addition to Lomacki taking down Favrot at the No. 1.

Next Monday, March 6 at 4 p.m., the Hurricanes will welcome ETSU to the Neil Schiff Tennis Center.
