CORAL GABLES, Fla. – University of Miami senior wide receiver Stacy Coley was named Atlantic Coast Conference Receiver of the Week on Monday, as announced by the league office.Coley is the third Hurricane to be recognized with a weekly honor this season by the ACC. Junior Trent Harris was named ACC Defensive Lineman of the Week back on Oct. 3. On Sept. 19, freshman wide receiver Ahmmon Richards was selected as the ACC’s Co-Rookie of the Week.
The Pompano Beach, Fla. native earned the weekly recognition after he tied a career high with two receiving touchdowns in the Hurricanes’ 20-19 setback this past Saturday at home against Florida State. He has now caught a touchdown pass in three straight games this year.
Coley’s first touchdown came from 21 yards out. His second score came on fourth down from 11 yards out and cut Florida State’s lead to one at 20-19 with 1:41 to go in the game.
Coley finished the night with a team-best seven receptions for 80 yards. He has now caught a pass in 14 straight games, dating back to last year.
