CORAL GABLES, Fla. – University of Miami freshman wide receiver Ahmmon Richards was named Atlantic Coast Conference Co-Rookie of the Week on Monday by the league office.Richards is the first Hurricane to be recognized with a weekly honor this season by the ACC.

The Wellington, Fla., native earned the recognition after he hauled in four passes for a freshman record 142 yards receiving at Appalachian State.

Richards also caught passes of 61 and 62 yards in the second half, both of which helped set up Miami touchdowns and guided the Hurricanes to a convincing 45-10 win over the Mountaineers.
