CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami is ranked among the top 10 teams in the country in the Oracle/ITA rankings for the eighth time in the past nine weeks, checking in at No. 7 in Thursday’s release.

The Hurricanes have been in the top seven for each of the past seven weeks and the No. 7 ranking matches Miami’s seed in the NCAA Team Championship.

Miami (19-5, 12-2 ACC) is one of six ACC schools in the top 25, which is the second-highest mark of any conference.

For the second week in a row, head coach Paige Yaroshuk-Tews’ Hurricanes feature the lone top-10 teammate duo in the Oracle/ITA singles rankings. Sophomore Sinead Lohan is ranked eighth and senior Stephanie Wagner comes in ninth. Both players have clinched 2016 ITA All-America singles honors by being seeded No. 8 and No. 9-16, respectively, in the NCAA Singles Championship.

Yolimar Ogando, who has yet to play this spring due to injury, retained her spot at No. 42 in the country. Fellow sophomore Wendy Zhang holds the No. 75 position.

The NCAA Doubles Championship duo of Wagner and Zhang is ranked in the top dozen for the ninth consecutive release, coming in at No. 12 nationally. Wagner and senior Clementina Riobueno moved up nine spots and are now No. 55 in the doubles rankings.

The Hurricanes will open NCAA Team Championship play Friday, May 13 at 2 p.m., against Quinnipiac at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center.
