@HurricanesGolf Concludes Competition at Bryan National Collegiate

BROWNS SUMMIT, N.C. – The University of Miami women’s golf team concluded competition Sunday at the 2016 Bryan National Collegiate and finished ninth with a tournament total of 914.

The Hurricanes posted a final day score of 310.

The 54-hole event was held at the par 72, 6,386-yard Bryan Park Champion Course.

Junior Delfina Acosta was the top Miami finisher as she tied for 21st, posting a three-day total of 11-over-par, 227. Acosta fired a final round score of 76.

Fellow junior Daniela Darquea tallied a team-low 76 on the final day to finish tied for 26th with a three-round score of 228.

Teammates Kailey Walsh, Luiza Altmann and Dewi Weber, tied for 30th, tied for 34th, and tied for 45th, respectively to round out the Hurricanes’ top five.

Virginia won the team title with a three-round total of 888. South Carolina’s Sarah Schmelzel won the individual crown with a three-round total of 219.
