CORAL GABLES, Fla.—Four University of Miami Track & Field student-athletes will begin their quest for a national title beginning today at the 2012 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Des Moines, Iowa at Drake Stadium.

Senior All-American Devon Hill enters the 110-meter hurdles with the third-fastest time (13.41) in the nation with hopes of bringing home the crown.  Hill will compete in the semifinals on Thursday, June 7 at 6:50 p.m.

The Canes will kick-off the four-day event on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. with freshman Amber Monroe contests the discus throw.  Sophomore Thandi Stewart will represent Miami in the 400-meter hurdles. The semifinals are set for 8:30 p.m. Wednesday night.  Junior Samantha Williams will vie for a national title on Day Four of competition in the triple jump. The event is scheduled to start at 10 a.m.

The entire event will be available to watch. On Wednesday, a stream will be available on NCAA.com, and ESPN3 will carry the action Thursday through Saturday. In addition, ESPNU will broadcast live on Saturday at 12 p.m.
