Bianca Eichkorn is this week’s Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week.  Eichkorn, an All-American junior from Tengen, Germany, is currently enjoying a 22-match winning streak dating back to January.  She is the only Hurricanes performer unbeaten in the spring (21-0), and is 26-4 overall on the 2009-10 campaign.  Last week, Eichkorn was named to the All-ACC Women’s Tennis Team for the second consecutive year after turning in a perfect 11-0 record against Atlantic Coast Conference opponents.  Eichkorn, ranked No. 31 in this week’s Campbell/ITA singles poll, picked up a win for the ‘Canes against No. 20 Georgia Tech in the quarterfinals of the ACC Women’s Tennis Championships last Friday.  She grabbed a 6-0, 6-1 victory from GT’s Viet Ha Ngo at the No. 2 position, as well as collecting an 8-4 win at the No. 2 doubles position alongside partner Anna Bartenstein.  Together, Bartenstein and Eichkorn are ranked No. 37 in the nation, and own a 16-3 overall record on the year (12-1 in the spring).
