Gainesville, Fla. – The University of Women’s tennis team concluded their final day at the Gator Fall Classic held at the University of Florida’s Ring Tennis Complex Sunday morning, winning four out of six singles matches against tournament host Florida, and claimed all three doubles matches versus Duke.

UM began the day with doubles matches with Audra Cohen and Laura Vallerdu (7), Miami defeated Daniela Bercek and Jessi Robinson 9-7. Audrey Banada and Romy Farah defeated Melissa Mang and Liz Plotkin 8-3, while Gina Sabatino and Caren Seenauth defeated Clelia Deltour/Parker Goyer 8-2.

Following doubles matches No.1 ranked Audra Cohen defeated Megan Alexander in three sets, 6-3, 1-6, 1-0 (10-4). Audrey Banada (71) defeated Whitney Benik (81) 6-2, 6-3, while freshman Laura Vallerdu defeated Csilla Borsanyi 6-0, 6-3. Gina Sabatino also claimed three sets defeating Lolita Frangulyan (109), 3-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-5).
