CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Miami’s Luigi D’Agord is ranked fifth nationally in singles in the latest Fila/ITA Collegiate Rankings released today.

D’Agord, who climbed two spots from No. 7 since the last individual rankings released March 21, is 27-4 overall, 13-1 in dual play and 7-0 against ACC opponents this season.

After downing two top 10 opponents last weekend, including a victory over Duke’s Ludovic Walter, who is now ranked No. 4, D’Agord was named the ACC Performer of the Week. He is 15-3 against ranked players this season

Along with freshman Daniel Vallverdu, D’Agord is also ranked in doubles, sitting at No. 30.

Junior Josh Cohen is ranked 72nd behind a 20-5 overall record this season.

As a team, Miami moved down one spot to No. 14.

Second year head coach Mario Rincon and the Hurricanes currently sit tied for fourth in the ACC with a league record of 5-2 and an overall mark of 13-3 this season.

UM will take on No. 8 Virginia Friday in Charlottesville and No. 54 Virginia Tech Sunday in Blacksburg.
