CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The University of Miami women’s tennis team claimed two out of three doubles matches in the second day of competition at the UNC-Kitty Harrison Invitational held at North Carolina’s Cone-KenfieldTennisCenter Saturday.

 

Miami’s duo of freshman Monika Dancevic and junior Ana Rupic paired up to defeat Virginia’s Lara Alexander/Rachel Del Priore tandem, 9-7.

 

Senior Melissa Applebaum and sophomore Patricia Starzyk likewise joined forces to down Virginia’s Amanda Rales and Douglas Wink, 8-6.  

 

The Hurricanes conclude action at the UNC-Kitty Harrison Invitational Sunday morning beginning at 8:00 a.m.
