Hurricane Fans have Chance to Donate to Hurricane Katrina Relief Efforts

Coral Gables, Fla. (www. hurricanesports.com) – – On Saturday, Sept. 24, 2005 during the Miami Hurricanes’ home opener against Colorado, student volunteers will sweep through the Orange Bowl collecting cash donations that will go directly to Hurricane Katrina relief.

Between the first and second quarters of the game, 200 volunteers wearing Hurricane Katrina Student Relief Team T-shirts will accept donations, and 100 percent of proceeds will go to hurricane victims via the Red Cross through the University of Miami’s United Way program.
