CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Senior Megan Bradley was named the Intercollegiate Tennis Association’s (ITA) Senior Player of the Year for the South Region, it was announced Monday. National winners will be announced the evening of May 22nd in Athens, Ga.

The award is the most recent in a long list of accolades that Bradley has accumulated this season. The Columbia, Mo. native was named the Atlantic Coast Conference Player of the Year and was named the ACC/UM Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year on Friday.

The sports administration major was also named the Most Outstanding Student in the School of Education’s Sports Administration Program and will be a UM graduation commencement speaker on May 13th.

Bradley, who has been the nation’s top-ranked player for ten-straight weeks, has amassed a 42-1 overall mark–a Miami single-season record–and is a perfect 23-0 in dual-match play.

In doubles, Bradley is 30-3 and is ranked third alongside sophomore Audrey Banada. Together, UM’s top tandem has posted a 16-1 record this spring.

Bradley, the reigning ITA National Indoor Champion and three-time All-American, received an automatic bid to the NCAA Division I Women’s Tennis Championship (May 23-28) in singles as well as in doubles with Banada.

Bradley will lead the ninth ranked Hurricanes to their 10th-consecutive trip to the NCAA Women’s Tennis Team Championships, which will begin with the first-and second rounds May 13-14. Miami received it’s first-ever bid to host a regional and will welcome California, Mississippi and Florida Atlantic to the Neil Schiff Tennis Center. The Hurricanes will face FAU Friday at 2:00 p.m.
