March 22, 2005

Coral Gables, Fla. (hurricanesports.com) – University of Miami junior Charlette Greggs (Miami Northwestern) has been selected as the Women’s ACC Outdoor Track Co-Performer of the Week. Greggs shares the honor with Virginia thrower Inge Jorgensen.

Greggs, a six-time All-American, was the top collegiate finisher in the 200-meters at last weekend’s Hurricane Invitational posting an NCAA Regional qualifying time of 23.27 seconds. Her time is currently the fastest in the ACC this season.

Greggs also anchored the 4×100-meter relay to an ACC best and NCAA Regional qualifying mark of 44.48 seconds.

Greggs is the third Hurricane to earn ACC Track Performer of the Week honors this season. Kim Barrett and Amber Williams each earned the award during the indoor track and field season.

The Miami women’s track and field team returns to action this weekend at the Florida Relays, March 24-26, in Gainesville, Fla.
