Coral Gables, Fla. – The University of Miami women’s tennis team concluded the second day of action at the UM Fall Classic with singles matches that started at 3:00 pm in the Neil Schiff Tennis Center. All six Hurricanes picked up wins in their respective matches.

Senior Megan Bradley overcame FIU’s Paula Zabala 6-4, 6-4, while classmate Staci Stevens downed Egle Petrauskaite (FIU) 5-7, 6-0, 1-0 (10-5). Sophomore Emily Mowery defeated Shilla D’Armas (FIU) 5-0, ret. and junior Melissa Applebaum (Miami) overtook Nikkita Fountain (FIU) 6-4, 6-3. Freshmen Juliette Mavroleon and Caren Seenauth also won singles matches. Mavroleon defeated FIU’s Marijana Cutuk (FIU) 6-4, 7-5, as Seenauth overtook Bruna Discordia (FIU) 6-3, 6-2.

The Hurricanes will wrap up the UM Fall Classic Sunday morning starting at 9:00 am at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center.
