Coral Gables, Fla. – The University of Miami women’s tennis team concluded day one of the UM Fall Classic Friday afternoon at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center.

The 28th ranked doubles duo of Megan Bradley and Audrey Banada defeated Vanderbilt’s Audra Falk and Ashley Schellhas (25), 8-4 to start the day.

All Five Miami players earned wins in the afternoon’s singles matches beginning with Bradley defeating FAU’s Alena Dvorakova 6-4, 6-1. Senior Staci Stevens upended FAU’s Krystel Borg, 6-1, 6-0. Sophomore Emily Mowery remained undefeated after overtaking FAU’s Katherine Bartnik ,6-1, 6-0. Freshmen Juliette Mavroleon and Caren Seenauth picked up wins against FIU with Mavroleon defeating Courtney Jonson, 6-1, 6-0 while Seenauth overcame Jeanette Castro ,6-3, 6-0.

The Hurricanes return to action when they face FAU/Florida in doubles at 9:00 am and Vanderbilt in singles following their doubles match in the second day of the UM Fall Classic.
