Coral Gables, Fla. (hurricanesports.com) – The University of Miami men’s cross country team is ranked 15th in the South Region in the latest United States Cross Country Coaches Association poll released Tuesday.

Miami, which placed third out of 31 teams at last weekend’s Walt Disney Cross Country Classic, has finished in the top-4 of all four meets this season including a season-opening victory at the FIU Invitational.

The Hurricanes have been led this season by junior Alex Brutvan (Boca Raton, Fla.) who has been Miami’s top finisher at every event. Brutvan was the top collegiate finisher at the FIU Invitational and has three career collegiate wins to his credit. He has been UM’s top finisher in 11 consecutive races dating back to last season.

Miami returns to action on Friday, October 15 in a dual meet against FIU beginning at 5:30 p.m. at Tropical Park in Miami.
